This year, Westside has introduced a new program called Internship which eventually led to seniors being able to leave school early to pursue higher goals. Most seniors have obtained all of the credits they need besides an additional math and English credit. This enables most seniors to only have to take two classes a day making up four in total. Seniors felt they didn’t need to take seven additional classes and stay an entire school day when they can be working or going to an internship. This enables seniors to better improve their future career opportunities before even going to college. Seniors believe this program is definitely a good idea for those who want to make more out of their high school career without spending an entire eight hours in school.
