This fall of 2017, theaters are releasing man new horror films that are trying to beat the classic and best horror films of all time. Here are the top three horror films that have been put out this year.
Number 1- IT
From the huge novel of 1986 to the film in 1990, this story is known by all who are daring enough to watch. Now the movie has been remade about 27 years later, which is scary to most because in the thriller, Pennywise the clown returns to Derry about every 27-30 years to feed. Pennywise is a malevolent shape-shifting entity that haunts the small town of Derry, Maine. The group of children also known as the “Losers Club” must fight off this creature. The creature called IT is not a clown; IT is an ancient evil being that is perhaps billions of years old. The creature always is in clown form because it is its favorite form. Now, in 2017, a much more evil Pennywise acted by Bill Skarsgard now terrorizes Derry. This movie was surprisingly more successful as a remake of such a popular classic, considering that most people say “You can’t beat a classic.”
Thirteen years ago on Halloween weekend- Saw and the character of Jigsaw introduced the world to a new face of horror. For seven straight years Saw was a holiday tradition. This October 27th, the theaters presented Jigsaw! After a series of murders bearing all the markings of Jigsaw killer, law enforcement find themselves chasing the ghost of a man dead for over a decade and in a new game that's only just begun.
