Graceland is a mansion on a 13.8 acre estate that was owned by Elvis Presley but is now owned by his daughter Lisa Marie Presley. On June 7, 1982 Graceland was opened to the Public but on November 7, 1991 Graceland was declared a National Historic Landmark and on March 27,2006 it was declared a Historic Landmark. Graceland is the second most visited landmark in the world with 650,000 people a year. Elvis bought Graceland for $40,000.
This year my family and I went to Graceland where I learned a lot of different things that I didn't know about Elvis and his early life. My grandma has one of Elvis' many scarfs and he also kissed her hand (which she did not wash for a while) at one of his last concerts.
