Westside soccer goes 2-1 in tourney by Zach Dawson

The Westside Warrior soccer team was off to a rough start this season, starting 0-8. They went up to Southside and lost their first game against Jacksonville Lighthouse 2-1 on a controversial call that was able to give them a penalty kick and went up 2-1. Westside would then play Wynne in their first game the next day and win 9-1. Then they would go on to play Brookland, who is a conference team that they lost to earlier in the year and win 2-1. They got 1st in one bracket, taking home 1 of the 4 plaques handed out. Three teams did not receive one. This puts the Warriors at 2-9 on the year and we’re looking to redeem a lost against Jacksonville today, Monday, April 3rd, but it was canceled due to rain.
