Warframe review

Well, this has been long time coming. If many of you recall, in my Dragon Spirit review I mentioned something called Warframe. I think it's about time I talked about it. Warframe is a free online 3rd-person fighting game created by Digital Extremes on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It’s awesome. It has something for everyone: plot, versatility, exploration, combat, crafting, clans, name it, it has it. You play the game as a Tenno, a “guardian of the galaxy,” if you will, protecting the galaxy from the forces of evil. There are three main factions of bad guys: Grineer, Corpus, and the Infestation. Since I have so much to cover in so little time, I’m going to try and keep it short. The main tool you use is a Warframe, or a suit that you control via mental transference. There are many frames to choose from, and no two are alike. There are also Prime Warframes, which are the same frame but amped up in power and design. There are also weapons you can use. They fall into one of three categories: primary, secondary, and melee. Self-explanatory. The planets in this game are as follows: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Phobos, Ceres, Jupiter, Europa, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, Eris, Sedna, The Void, The Derelict, and The Kuva Fortress. Many bosses exist in this game, but I’m going to just talk about a few. Kela De Thaym, in my honest opinion, is the most agitating boss ever conceived. With a moderately-sized health bar, annoying attacks, and irritating tactics, she made me want to rip my hair out. What attacks does she use, you ask? She spawns roller turrets and rollerballs, shoots missiles and grenades, and summons nukes. Kela De Thaym has a bombastic personality, to say the least. Now, I like it when video game bosses push back, but doing this is too much. From the bad end of the spectrum to the good end is the boss of the Derelict: Lephantis. This boss is very refreshing, at least to me. One thing I should bring up is that all of these bosses have a backstory, and they aren't dull. It’s a nice little touch, and it’s most certainly a welcome one, seeing as many video game bosses nowadays have little to no backstory, aside from ”they are the bad guy, you have to kill them.” It gets boring after a while. Lephantis is a very cool enemy to fight. So, is Warframe a good game? No…it’s a great game. Go download it right now. This has been Bryant Spears, and see you next time.
