Hall of fame day by Nate Gaines

Today is hall of fame day for baseball. Today is the day that retired players anxiously wait for to see if their childhood dream will be realized and be elected to the baseball hall of fame. To be elected, players have to receive at least 75% of the vote, and they have fifteen years to get it.

Notable players up for election this year are Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Tim Raines, Edgar Martinez, Manny Ramirez, and Ivan Rodriguez. Raines is in his final year of eligibility meaning that if he is not elected this year, he will never be elected.
