What a start to the game for the Hogs. Even without their star tight end in Jeremy Sprinkle who was not playing due to disorderly conduct, they had a commanding 24-0 lead going into halftime. I can’t even imagine what Bielema said to these guys during the halftime break, but obviously it didn’t get the job done. The Hogs looked like they were in the driver's seat and looking to close out a win and be crowned Belk Bowl champions. But, they blew it. And that is nothing new to Arkansas fans. Arkansas, who is one of the worst second half teams, blew another game. They were seventh-worse in Power 5 in being outscored in the second half this season. By an average, they have been outscored by 8.2/game in the second half this season. Leading the Hogs to another mediocre season, Bret Bielema hasn’t done much in his 4 seasons at Arkansas. Leading the Razorbacks to a 8 win season last year was his best yet. You have got to question, what’s next for Arkansas and Bielema? As a fan, I love Bielema. He is a great coach. He is good with fans, and overall he has a great attitude about everything. But it doesn’t seem he has much fire to ignite his team when they are down. I think he will be back next season, but he will for sure be one of the coaches on the hot seat in the nation. If he doesn’t deliver next season, I believe many fans will be calling for the boot.
