How to bake chocolate chip cookies- Brooke Payton

What you need:
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 ¼ cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup of chopped nuts
  • 1 package(12 ounces or 2 cups) of chocolate chips


What you need to do:
First, heat your oven to 375°F. After that, mix the white sugar, the brown sugar, vanilla, and egg in one bowl. After that is mixed, add in flour, baking soda, and salt. If the dough is stiff, proceed to add the nuts and chocolate chips. Next, roll the dough into balls that are the size of a teaspoon. Drop the dough balls two inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake these for 8 to 10 minutes until they are light brown and their centers are soft. Let the cookies cool off and then remove them from the cookie sheets. Transfer them to a wire rack until ready to eat.
