Senioritis by Shamaria Hankerson

“Senioritis is a colloquial term mainly used in the United States and Canada to describe the decreased motivation toward studies displayed by students who are nearing the end of their high school, college, and graduate school careers.” - Barry Popik
Ok guys, so Mrs. Riggs has informed me that it’s almost physically impossible to have senioritis five weeks into the school year...Yeah, I think not. I’m almost 95% sure that I’ve had senioritis since the end of my junior year. She says it usually starts after Christmas break or after spring break. I totally disagree. You get this urge or this feeling because you just know it’s almost that time for one of the few biggest things that you will accomplish throughout your life. It’s so real you guys. It’s going to fly by, but it’s just not going fast enough for me.
Let’s all make sure we have our 24 credits to graduate. Make sure you don’t miss too many days. Basically don’t do anything that will prevent you from graduating May 22. Come on guys..We’ve went to school 12 long years for this. It’s almost our time, so let's make the best of it (even if you already have senioritis). Let’s also make sure you register for the October ACT. That is the last one that you can take if you plan on attending Arkansas State University (ASU). The deadline is December 1. Also,  don’t start a countdown..it seems like forever.
