Redskins (1-2) vs. (2-1) NY Giants
This week the game I am featuring is the Washington Redskins and the New York Giants. Now, coming into this game, the Redskins were 0-2. They were supposed to be pretty good coming into this year with the huge addition of Josh Norman, which was really supposed to improve their defense; but coming into this game, they were holding a 0-2 record and were really wanting to change that--though they knew it wouldn't be easy since they were facing their division rival the Giants. The Giants aren’t a really stellar team, but coming into this game they were 2-0 and the lead of their division. Now, this game has been a fan's dream for both teams starting last season with Josh Norman vs. Odell Beckham Jr. They were known for fighting a lot and calling each other out in a game last year making this game even bigger. But as the game got going, Odell began getting frustrated as his team couldn’t generate any offense. Late in the game, it was a field goal type of game, back and forth with 3 points a piece. Eventually the Redskins drove down field and got a field goal to take a 29-27 lead, leaving Odell’s team a chance to drive, but a late interception in that drive thrown by Eli Manning really ended it. This gave the Redskins their first and much needed win, dropping the Giants to 2-1 on this young season.
