Couple of NFL games that were one to watch by Zach Dawson

(1-0) Raiders: 35 (0-1) Saints: 34
To start off, we’ll begin with the Raiders at the Saints. The Saints started slow on their very first drive but after that, Drew Brees hopped on the horse and started racking up yards threw the air. He threw for a resounding 423 yards in the effort and also threw for 4 touchdowns. Their defense stood up strong through the first half and most of the 2nd, then the Raiders finally got woke up late in the 3rd and finished it strong with 22 points in the 4th. The Raiders went down late in the 4th and scored a touchdown. Down by 1, coach Jack Del Rio decided to go for 2, and the ball threw up to Crabtree for a conversion. This made them take the lead by 1. Brees still had a little time to drive, and drive they did. They eventually got down to about half way past mid field. All they needed was a field goal to win it, so they brought in rookie kicker, Wil Lutz. He took the long field goal, it had the leg but drifted to the left and missed wide, giving the Raiders the win early in this young season.

(0-1) Panthers: 20 (1-0) Broncos: 21
In the rematch of Super Bowl 50, the Broncos topped the Panthers just like Super Bowl 50. This game was exhilarating considering it was a Super Bowl rematch, and the first game of the season. The broncos would be starting a QB who had never attempted an NFL pass in Trevor Siemian, against the reigning MVP of the league in the past season, Cam Newton. It was a great game for both teams, coming down to the 4th quarter late in the game. Cam Newton took some controversy blows this game that has the league looking into it; but in the end, they were outplayed. Both QB’s had great games, and most were amazed by how Siemian played this game. In the end it came down to a panthers drive where Gano, the kicker had a chance to win it, but ultimately the ball didn’t go through the uprights, giving the ball back to the Broncos with a couple of seconds left. The team just took a kneel and ended the game. With a promising start for both teams, we’ll have to see how it turns out.
