A few of Westside High School’s National Honor Society members are volunteering to collect donations for Make-A-Wish both at the school and in Bono on February 19th. The volunteers at the school will be outside from 7:30 a.m. until the first bell and from the last bell until around 3:20 p.m. Volunteers will be located in Bono from 6 a.m. through 6 p.m. to collect donations.
Make-A-Wish is an organization that grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. These wishes can dramatically improve the life of these kids and serve as a turning point in the fight against their illnesses. They make wishes come true through the help of volunteers and people who donate money to the cause. Make-A-Wish grants a wish to a deserving child, on average, every 38 minutes. For examples of these touching stories and to learn more about the organization visit http://wish.org/.
If you are interested in donating to this amazing cause, please see an NHS volunteer at one of the above locations on February 19th.
