Attitude of kindness

Before Christmas Break, Mr. Dewey visited different classes around campus talking to students about the importance of a positive attitude. He stopped by our Journalism class, and gave a very touching speech. He told us all about his life, discussing the challenges he faced during his childhood. He told us how he never let the rough patches in his life get the best of him, and how he always treated everybody around him with respect. His speech honestly interested me personally, and inspired the entire class. It was an honor to hear Mr. Dewey’s life story, and his message was definitely one that needed to be heard. I think I speak for everyone when I say that we appreciated Mr. Dewey’s visit, and appreciate his kindness and concern to everyone at Westside High School.
