A history teacher at a Jewish school in the southern French city of Marseille was stabbed by three people on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. The three people were shouting anti-Semitic insults at the teacher. One of them was wearing an Islamic State shirt in support of ISIS. The suspects approached the teacher in a street on scooters and insulted, threatened, and stabbed the victim in the arm and leg. One of the men showed a picture on his phone of the Islamist militant Mohammed Merah.
