Seniors stepped up

Up until late Thursday night, the food drive was very bare. We only had around 500 items that had been donated all week; it was really sad. To try and make up for the lack of food donated, a small group of seniors banded together right after school; we went around and collected money from local businesses. We raised over $700, and we put that with some of our personal money and bought all that we could from Cash Saver. We had enough food to fill up the bed of my truck, and we had to bring in Zuri’s truck as well. I am very proud of the class of ‘16 for stepping up to the plate. Thank you to everyone who participated and donated. Every little bit helped.
