Animal of the Week

Penguin (Spheniscidae)
Penguins are native to the Southwestern Hemisphere. Many live on the South Pole or Antarctica. Penguins cannot fly. They have Black and white feathers. They can’t breath under water. The blubber under their skin helps them to live in cold places, much like whales and seals. Their diets consist of seafood, like shrimp and squids. Unlike most animals the male penguin is in charge of watching the egg. Penguins spend a lot of time playing with others. They have carefree lives, as long as they aren’t being hunted.
