MTV Video Music Awards

The 2015 VMAs were held on August 30. It was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. Miley Cyrus hosted the awards this year. Taylor Swift was the most nominated person. She had 10 nominations this year. Ed Sheeran had the second most nominations with six. Kendrick Lamar had four nominations for his video “Alright.” Taylor won Video of the Year and Best Collaboration for her song “Bad Blood” featuring Kendrick Lamar. Her song “Blank Space” also won Best Female Video and Best Pop Video. Justin Bieber performed his songs “Where Are U Now” and “What Do You Mean?” During his acceptance speech for Video Vanguard Award, Kanye West announced that he would be running for president in the 2020 election. The VMAS broke the “US Twitter record” for being the most tweeted about non-sports program with 21.4 million tweets.
