Flashback- 1990s

Saved By The Bell- Now one of the “20 Best School Shows of All Time” Saved By The Bell was extremely popular in the 90s. It was a sitcom, developed from the show Good Morning, Miss Bliss,  that followed the lives of six high school students (Zach, Kelly, Slater, Jessie, Screech, and Lisa) and their principal (Mr. Richard Belding) at Bayside High School. It was one of the highest rated shows on Saturday morning. Its popularity pushed NBC to show more teen-oriented shows instead of cartoons on Saturdays. It also inspired two spin-offs, Saved By The Bell: The College Years and Saved By The Bell: The New Class, and two movies, Saved By The Bell: Hawaiian Style and Saved By The Bell: Wedding in Las Vegas.
Slap Bracelets- Made of a piece of flexible steel and covered in a plastic or fabric color, slap bracelets were a huge deal in the 90s as well. You could get them in almost any color or pattern and everyone from children to teenagers had them.
